I met my wife in 2006 and we got married in 2008. I rediscovered how much I loved poppy punk rock by the end of the decade. Same with Against Me, who I also followed super closely around the time. Watching their ascent to indie-level stardom was really exciting. ![]() ![]() 2005-2006 saw me fully obsessed with The Hold Steady, seeing them as much as possible in the area. At some point in 2003 or 2004 I discovered I liked more hip hop than I thought I did. Mostly listening to noisy, screamy DIY bands or folky older songs. I started out playing noisy, screamy music in dirty basements for a few years. A whole lot changed for me in that decade.
